True worship is much more than singing
and playing instruments. Worship is harder to define than
to describe. Worship is an attitude. It is a posture.
While responsive, it is also proactive. Worship is an
event, act, or thing that occurs when God’s people respond
to who He is, what He has done, and what He is doing.
Worship is our response to who we know and serve.
At Castle Rock Christian Church, we
participate in many of the ways described above. The music
ministry is here to lead people into an awareness of the
presence of God through music. Because different forms of
music are valid expressions from God’s people in worship,
hymns, traditional music, contemporary styles, and others
are incorporated into Sunday morning practice.
Using your gifts and talents for the
kingdom of God are acts of worship. Coming to church on
Sunday, fellowshipping, singing, receiving the word,
praying, studying the Word of God, silence, time alone with
the Savior, participating in communion and baptism; these
are all acts of worship. Worship is making level the paths
in your life so that your feeble arms and week knees won’t
falter in your walk with the Lord Jesus Christ.
Is your heart in music ministry, or do
you have any comments or encouragement for the praise team?
